Introduction:
Klaviyo recently introduced a new ‘Experiment’ section that you can use to analyze your A/B test statistics in real-time.
Leverage this section to find the best A/B tests for your email campaigns and flows in the last ‘x’ days.
In this article, you’ll learn a ‘step-by-step complete understanding of the Experiment section in Klaviyo.’
Let’s dive in!
Where to find ‘Experiments’ section in klaviyo?
Follow the following steps:
- Go to your klaviyo options dashboard
- Navigate to ‘Analytics’ section
- Click on ‘Experiment’ option
- You will see a new dashboard with different options
Understanding of Experiments’ options:
- Campaign or Flows:
You can click on the ‘Campaign‘ or ‘Flows‘ options to find out the stats for the A/B tests you have run in the last ‘x’ days. This way, you don’t need to dive into your email campaigns and flows to search for A/B tests and determine the winner. It will save you a lot of time.
- Search Campaign:
Using this option, search for your test name or keywords associated with your test, such as ‘Testing CTA color’ or ‘CTA Text.’ You will view the results for that specific keyword test you have mentioned in the search tab. If Klaviyo cannot find any A/B test linked with the keyword you have placed in the search tab, you will see a ‘No data available’ message.
- Last X days:
Choose the timeframe within which you wish to analyze the A/B test statistics easily. You will not see any stats there if you did not run any A/B tests during the selected time.
Select from options such as the last 7 days, last 30 days, last 90 days, or choose custom days.
- Significant or Not :
A flow email is considered statistically significant if each variation has been sent to at least 500 recipients, and the variation has at least a 90% win probability.
On the other hand, an email campaign is considered statistically significant when at least 50 recipients have received each variation, and the variation has at least a 90% win probability.
- Channel:
From the dropdown, choose email or SMS as your channel to filter out the results only for Email or SMS.
- More Filters:
You can pick open rate, click rate or placed order rate as your winning metric from more filters dropdown. Recommended is click rate.
- Test Type [Only on the campaign tab]:
In this secondary dropdown, choose All to see all types of tests. Otherwise, choose either content test for A/B tests related to content or elements of your emails (e.g., tests run on using different preview text and subject lines), or send time test for emails where you test the best send time.
- Status
In this secondary dropdown, choose either In progress to only see those A/B tests currently running, or Completed to see those tests that are finished.
If you wish to clear any of the search results or settings you may have adjusted, click on Clear.
