How to start SMS marketing in klaviyo?

Thinking of starting SMS marketing for your e-commerce business in Klaviyo? Great! Follow the steps below to turn your thoughts into action.

• Click on the name of your organization in the bottom left corner.

 

• Navigate to Settings > SMS.

1st Step:

• Click Set up SMS for free. 

Step 2: Countries

• Select the countries where you want to use SMS (check all that apply):
• • United States
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

• Click Next.

3rd Step:Company info

• Your information will only be used to verify a toll-free phone number so that you can send SMS messages in the United States and Canada.
• Fill out the right information about your business so they can quickly and easily verify you and provide your Toll-free number for SMS marketing.

• • For New Zealand: the only option is to request a short code.
    • This number takes 5–6 weeks to be approved.
  • For the UK and Australia: create a branded sender ID.
    • Note that this sender ID will be used in both the UK and Australia.
    • You can customize this sender ID to suit your needs.
    • Branded sender IDs do not have a verification process, so you can start sending with them immediately. 
    • Branded sender IDs must:
      • • Be between 3-11 characters 
        • Contain at least one letter

Step 4: Confirm your sending info

• You can still change the sender name that your customers/recipients will see when they receive your SMS. The toll-free number is currently in the verifying stage, and after analyzing the information you have provided, Klaviyo will provide you with the necessary details to use for SMS marketing

• Click Next.

Step 5: Preview

• To preview SMS messages on your cell phone, add your US phone number and check how they look. You can create a separate list containing only your phone number to preview campaigns before sending them out.

Step 6: Grow your list:

• Here’s the last step to get started with SMS marketing in klaviyo. Set signup form asking for customers’ phone number/add them at checkout or upload them in klaviyo if you’ve already .
